Fitness Center near Frankfort Elevates Your Every Day

At Riviera Sports Center, our team brings together all of the elements to help you live a happy and healthy life while setting a positive example for your children. We offer extended hours seven days a week to ensure that you can fit in your exercise routine. We have all of the classes and equipment for all of the hard-core exercisers who enjoy really getting a sweat on! We also have the sports arenas for all of the enthusiasts who like to compete while working out and of course, those who want to make a splash will enjoy our pools. 

Take on a Game or Match At Our Fitness Center near Frankfort

Many of our members enjoy having an edge of competitiveness in their exercise routine! We have all of the sports facilities that you could want. Our basketball courts are both inside and outside to keep you moving while strengthening your ball-handling and shooting skills. The two racquetball courts are a perfect platform to challenge a friend or family member to a match-up. Wallyball or racquetball can be played, and we offer racquets to our members for free. 

If tennis is more your thing, enjoy our indoor court during the colder months and our outdoor court during warmer weather. You can schedule private or group lessons to help improve your swing and if you want some solo time, let the front desk know and a member of our team will set up a tennis ball machine for a small fee. No matter what the weather is outside, practice your golf swing in our practice cage.

Fitness Center near Frankfort Features an Array of Classes

One of our major offerings to our members is our assortment of group fitness classes. The popularity of working out in a group setting continues today and we have fun and unique ways to move that are free to our members. There is no registration required and we schedule youth fitness classes every other Saturday to spark a lifelong love of exercising.

We strive to provide the types of classes that will be a fit for any level of exerciser as well as provide the variety to keep participants interested and wanting to come back. No matter if you enjoy dancing, building strength or pushing yourself through cardio moves, our class schedule will offer something for you. For example, our Turbo Kick class pushes participants through kickboxing moves and high-energy tunes. While our Dance Party is the path to work on your whole body through dance moves.

COVID-19 Update

Riviera Country Club Members:

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our way of life for all of our families, friends and businesses, particularly in the state of Illinois. First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.

We receive inquiries daily from members asking, “When is the Club going to re-open?” Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to that question as it is entirely up to the governor to give us that approval. The state has recently moved to Phase 3 of its plan, which on the surface includes the opening of “Personal Care Services and Health Clubs” however, it only allows Health and Fitness Clubs to provide outdoor classes for up to 10 participants and one-on-one personal training indoors with IDPH approved safety guidance. This in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, constitutes the opening of Gyms and Health Clubs.

Please keep in mind that we are a full service all-inclusive club with many members and could not reopen in piecemeal form. Most members have specific aspects of the club for which they have become members and use it: Some for tennis; others for exercise classes; and still others for the pool or spa or something else. If any of these aspects cannot be available, then the club does not serve a purpose for those members. Therefore, the entire club will need to be open and available to our members when we open our doors again.

To that end, it looks like the governor’s plan would need to move to Phase 5 for Health Clubs and Spas to fully re-open. The governor’s plan would move to Phase 5 when either a vaccine is developed to prevent the spread of the virus, a treatment option is readily available that ensures health care capacity is no longer a concern, or there are no new cases over a sustained period.

We hope to have additional information in the near future as we move through these unprecedented times. In the meantime, please stay healthy.
