Swimming Pools

Make a splash in one of our three pools—indoor, outdoor or baby pool during family swim hours. The large indoor pool features a free swim area and five lanes for lap swimming. The outdoor heated pool boasts a two-story waterslide (42” minimum height requirement). The baby pool with a center fountain is just right to entertain our smallest members. Only Coast Guard Approved Type 1, 2 or 3 life vests are permitted. Group swim lessons are offered during the summer with private lessons available year-round for more personal instruction.

Make a big splash in our indoor lap and leisure swimming pool which includes a recreational swim area, as well as lap lanes for a more challenging workout, while providing quality aquatic classes and private and group swim lessons. Private changing and shower facilities are available for the convenience and privacy of both children and adults. Calendar & Schedules

We have everything under the sun, including an outdoor recreational swimming pool which features a two-story waterslide for great summer fun. Certified lifeguards are on duty during designated supervised swim times. For the little ones in your family, try our baby pool with a center fountain.

COVID-19 Update

June 18, 2020

Riviera Country Club Members:

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our way of life for all of our families, friends and businesses, particularly in the state of Illinois. First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.

We receive inquiries daily from members asking, “When is the Club going to re-open?” Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to that question as it is entirely up to the governor to give us that approval. The state has recently moved to Phase 3 of its plan, which on the surface includes the opening of “Personal Care Services and Health Clubs” however, it only allows Health and Fitness Clubs to provide outdoor classes for up to 10 participants and one-on-one personal training indoors with IDPH approved safety guidance. This in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, constitutes the opening of Gyms and Health Clubs.

Please keep in mind that we are a full service all-inclusive club with many members and could not reopen in piecemeal form. Most members have specific aspects of the club for which they have become members and use it: Some for tennis; others for exercise classes; and still others for the pool or spa or something else. If any of these aspects cannot be available, then the club does not serve a purpose for those members. Therefore, the entire club will need to be open and available to our members when we open our doors again.

To that end, it looks like the governor’s plan would need to move to Phase 5 for Health Clubs and Spas to fully re-open. The governor’s plan would move to Phase 5 when either a vaccine is developed to prevent the spread of the virus, a treatment option is readily available that ensures health care capacity is no longer a concern, or there are no new cases over a sustained period.

We hope to have additional information in the near future as we move through these unprecedented times. In the meantime, please stay healthy.
