Gym New Lenox

Our  New Lenox Gym Helps You Find Your Motivation

Exercise is one of those things that you have to find within yourself to maintain. We have all been on the roller coaster of retaining a workout routine. At Riviera Sports Center, you will find that we have all of the stellar services and industry-leading equipment to keep you on the exercise wagon today and tomorrow. Working out should not be all work, so we also have spa services, cafe, sports areas, and pools to help you play as another way to find your best happy and healthy self. Families will especially embrace our outdoor pool for splash time during the warmer months. A slide and baby pool will help keep the kids active and entertained.

Get Together With a Group at Our New Lenox Gym

Finding a common thread with your family, friends, or acquaintances can inspire you to remain active. Plan time with your basketball buds to shoot hoops on our indoor or outdoor courts. Racquetball or wallyball can also be on your to-do list. Our indoor and outdoor tennis courts can help you work on your swing with an opponent or have our crew set up the tennis ball machine. Create your own running club by planning a time to run with your group on our indoor track year-round.

Just take a look at our group exercise schedule to know that you can stave off the workout blues! We purposefully craft a great selection of group exercise classes to appeal to all ages, fitness levels, and workout styles. We provide these classes to our members at no cost. You do not need to worry about registering, but can come on out to a class whenever the mood strikes. Men and women are welcome to all of our offerings, and we also set youth fitness classes every other Saturday.

Swimming is a sport and also a fun recreational activity for families and individuals. We can keep you splashing and happy with our indoor and outdoor pools. Indoors, you can swim laps or hang out in the recreational swim area. You can join our group water classes as well or participate in group or private swim lessons. Aquatic classes can be a fresh way to get you moving.

The outdoor pool is open during the warm season and is heated for our swimmers’ comfort. Our certified lifeguards ensure that everyone is safe while they are having a blast. Families enjoy this space as a great way to connect during the summer. The two-story water slide will keep your kids giggling, and your littlest one will feel right at home in our baby pool with a fountain.

COVID-19 Update

June 18, 2020

Riviera Country Club Members:

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our way of life for all of our families, friends and businesses, particularly in the state of Illinois. First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.

We receive inquiries daily from members asking, “When is the Club going to re-open?” Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to that question as it is entirely up to the governor to give us that approval. The state has recently moved to Phase 3 of its plan, which on the surface includes the opening of “Personal Care Services and Health Clubs” however, it only allows Health and Fitness Clubs to provide outdoor classes for up to 10 participants and one-on-one personal training indoors with IDPH approved safety guidance. This in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, constitutes the opening of Gyms and Health Clubs.

Please keep in mind that we are a full service all-inclusive club with many members and could not reopen in piecemeal form. Most members have specific aspects of the club for which they have become members and use it: Some for tennis; others for exercise classes; and still others for the pool or spa or something else. If any of these aspects cannot be available, then the club does not serve a purpose for those members. Therefore, the entire club will need to be open and available to our members when we open our doors again.

To that end, it looks like the governor’s plan would need to move to Phase 5 for Health Clubs and Spas to fully re-open. The governor’s plan would move to Phase 5 when either a vaccine is developed to prevent the spread of the virus, a treatment option is readily available that ensures health care capacity is no longer a concern, or there are no new cases over a sustained period.

We hope to have additional information in the near future as we move through these unprecedented times. In the meantime, please stay healthy.

Sincerely,

Dan O’Donnell
