Homer Glen Personal Trainer Takes Fitness to Another Level

At Riviera Sports Center, our team can help guide you toward a more active path and healthier lifestyle. You will enjoy a complimentary group fitness orientation with one of our certified trainers when you join us. We offer additional complimentary offerings, including towel and lock service as well as health spa toiletries. You will find year-round social events for all ages on our calendar to highlight the fun side of staying active. Our group exercise offerings are no additional cost and no registration is needed, so it fits your schedule. You and your family members can play tennis, racquetball, wallyball, volleyball, golf or basketball on our courts.

Homer Glen Personal Trainer Leads the Way

Our certified instructors are at the helm of our many and varied classes for our members. You will meet in our spacious studio to take on the day by engaging in a new or favorite routine. From the old-school category, you will find Step, which is a long-time cardio workout that has both low-impact patterns and optional power moves, depending on your level of activity. Each class cools down with stretches and ab moves. Boot Camp has also been around for a while and it is a military-style way to take on cardio and strength moves. You will work by yourself and with teams.

Taking on something new can rejuvenate a doldrum routine. That is why we strive to mix it up with our schedule. You can tighten your middle with our Pilates/Yoga Fusion that has both moves in one class. You will also find that your flexibility and balance will get better and better. Tabata is for those seeking a challenge as it is high-intensity interval training that targets certain areas at one time through planned moves.

Homer Glen Personal Trainer is Making Waves

Our team can be the lead for your family member’s swim lessons. Private swimming lessons can help sharpen your skills or help those struggling to swim with the basics. Our indoor pool has a recreational swim area and lap lanes for those wanting a workout. Here is where you can take group or private lessons or aquatic classes, which bring the group fitness mentality into the water.

We also have an outdoor swimming pool, which is open during the warmer months of the year. It is heated and has a two-story water slide for family fun. The baby pool with a fountain in the middle will entertain and delight your littlest ones.

COVID-19 Update

June 18, 2020

Riviera Country Club Members:

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our way of life for all of our families, friends and businesses, particularly in the state of Illinois. First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.

We receive inquiries daily from members asking, “When is the Club going to re-open?” Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to that question as it is entirely up to the governor to give us that approval. The state has recently moved to Phase 3 of its plan, which on the surface includes the opening of “Personal Care Services and Health Clubs” however, it only allows Health and Fitness Clubs to provide outdoor classes for up to 10 participants and one-on-one personal training indoors with IDPH approved safety guidance. This in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, constitutes the opening of Gyms and Health Clubs.

Please keep in mind that we are a full service all-inclusive club with many members and could not reopen in piecemeal form. Most members have specific aspects of the club for which they have become members and use it: Some for tennis; others for exercise classes; and still others for the pool or spa or something else. If any of these aspects cannot be available, then the club does not serve a purpose for those members. Therefore, the entire club will need to be open and available to our members when we open our doors again.

To that end, it looks like the governor’s plan would need to move to Phase 5 for Health Clubs and Spas to fully re-open. The governor’s plan would move to Phase 5 when either a vaccine is developed to prevent the spread of the virus, a treatment option is readily available that ensures health care capacity is no longer a concern, or there are no new cases over a sustained period.

We hope to have additional information in the near future as we move through these unprecedented times. In the meantime, please stay healthy.

Sincerely,

Dan O’Donnell
