New Lenox Fitness Class

New Lenox Fitness Class To Keep You Moving

At Riviera Country Club, members enjoy many avenues to a healthier lifestyle. They can shoot a basketball around, run or walk on our indoor track, swim laps, box, join a group class or strengthen their muscles with our weight offerings. Many members have found that being part of a group class can offer the support and fun that had been lacking in their exercise routine. We understand how fitness in a group setting has been and continues to be an important element of many exercisers’ main routines. That is why we have many classes for all levels of intensity and interests.

New Lenox Fitness Classes Always A Fun, Challenging Event

If you are a member, you can jump into any of our classes at any time. There is no registration required and we have plenty of room for participants in our 3,300-square-foot studio. Our weekly classes add up to about 40 a week, so there is surely something that will fit your schedule and interest. We make sure that our instructors are certified and awesome class leaders.

Within various categories, we have more than one class. For instance, if cardio is your thing, you can cycle it out or kickbox your way to a wonderful workout. Constant variety is part of our Cardio Mix class to keep participants engaged and happy. Old school step can also be found on our cardio list of classes. If you are looking to tone it up, we also have offerings to help with that. Pilates focuses on using resistance, stretching and strengthening, while Sculpt uses light dumbbells. AB Blast is -you guessed it - all about your abdominal muscles!

New Lenox Fitness Classes And So Much More

COVID-19 Update

June 18, 2020

Riviera Country Club Members:

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our way of life for all of our families, friends and businesses, particularly in the state of Illinois. First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.

We receive inquiries daily from members asking, “When is the Club going to re-open?” Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to that question as it is entirely up to the governor to give us that approval. The state has recently moved to Phase 3 of its plan, which on the surface includes the opening of “Personal Care Services and Health Clubs” however, it only allows Health and Fitness Clubs to provide outdoor classes for up to 10 participants and one-on-one personal training indoors with IDPH approved safety guidance. This in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, constitutes the opening of Gyms and Health Clubs.

Please keep in mind that we are a full service all-inclusive club with many members and could not reopen in piecemeal form. Most members have specific aspects of the club for which they have become members and use it: Some for tennis; others for exercise classes; and still others for the pool or spa or something else. If any of these aspects cannot be available, then the club does not serve a purpose for those members. Therefore, the entire club will need to be open and available to our members when we open our doors again.

To that end, it looks like the governor’s plan would need to move to Phase 5 for Health Clubs and Spas to fully re-open. The governor’s plan would move to Phase 5 when either a vaccine is developed to prevent the spread of the virus, a treatment option is readily available that ensures health care capacity is no longer a concern, or there are no new cases over a sustained period.

We hope to have additional information in the near future as we move through these unprecedented times. In the meantime, please stay healthy.

Sincerely,

Dan O’Donnell
