Palos Hills Fitness Classes Brings Together Everything You Need

Taking time to exercise can be challenging! That is why our crew at Riviera Sports Center focuses on combining all of the key components that you need to live your best life and be an outstanding example for your children. We have spots for family time such as basketball courts and an indoor and outdoor pool. We also provide childcare for little ones, so that you can take the time to take care of yourself without worrying about what your children are doing. Whether you like to sweat through a run or dance your calories away, you will find a fit at our sports center.

Palos Hills Fitness Classes Keep You Motivated and Moving

You will experience the difference when you first step foot into our spacious 3,300-square-foot aerobics studio that has a cushioned floor. Our instructors are certified and keep in mind all levels of participants to make sure that there is a class for everyone. We also schedule classes at the times you want and in the variety that you crave.

We keep things fresh by considering what is fun and unique in the exercise world and add to our offerings periodically. Our classes cover everything from just abs to low-intensity moves and strength training to traditional offerings, such as step. If you prefer to dance while working out, you will enjoy the ZUMBA class that is offered both in and out of water.

Palos Fitness Classes and More to Motivate You Every Day

Our members enjoy an indoor and outdoor pool. Outside, our pool is a great way to mark a warm summer day as a family. There is a center fountain in our baby pool and a two-story water slide for the older kids. Our certified lifeguards are always on duty. When it’s time to take your swimming routine inside, you will enjoy our 22-meter pool with five lanes and a free swim area. Lessons are offered for those needing help with their swimming skills. Aquatic classes are a unique way to stay fit. Instructors lead participants through both strength and cardio moves in the water.

If you love sports, you can practice your golf swing, challenge a friend to a game of racquetball or practice shooting hoops at our sports facilities. Our extensive cardio and weight area has all of the latest equipment and names that you expect and know. If you want to take your routine off the treadmill, you can run, walk or jog on our indoor track year-round. When it is time to wind down, you can relax in our spa facilities, which feature a whirlpool and sauna. Our cafe has available fresh and made-to-order smoothies.

COVID-19 Update

June 18, 2020

Riviera Country Club Members:

Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global coronavirus pandemic is affecting our way of life for all of our families, friends and businesses, particularly in the state of Illinois. First and foremost, our hearts go out to anyone who's been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery.

We receive inquiries daily from members asking, “When is the Club going to re-open?” Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to that question as it is entirely up to the governor to give us that approval. The state has recently moved to Phase 3 of its plan, which on the surface includes the opening of “Personal Care Services and Health Clubs” however, it only allows Health and Fitness Clubs to provide outdoor classes for up to 10 participants and one-on-one personal training indoors with IDPH approved safety guidance. This in no way, by any stretch of the imagination, constitutes the opening of Gyms and Health Clubs.

Please keep in mind that we are a full service all-inclusive club with many members and could not reopen in piecemeal form. Most members have specific aspects of the club for which they have become members and use it: Some for tennis; others for exercise classes; and still others for the pool or spa or something else. If any of these aspects cannot be available, then the club does not serve a purpose for those members. Therefore, the entire club will need to be open and available to our members when we open our doors again.

To that end, it looks like the governor’s plan would need to move to Phase 5 for Health Clubs and Spas to fully re-open. The governor’s plan would move to Phase 5 when either a vaccine is developed to prevent the spread of the virus, a treatment option is readily available that ensures health care capacity is no longer a concern, or there are no new cases over a sustained period.

We hope to have additional information in the near future as we move through these unprecedented times. In the meantime, please stay healthy.

Sincerely,

Dan O’Donnell
